Our bodies are made up of 80 % water. Water plays a vital role in supplying oxygen to cells, as well as temperature regulation, waste removal and the everyday running of all major organs.
You can go about four weeks without food, but only three days without water.
If you wait until you're thirsty before you reach for that glass, then you're already dehydrated.
When the body is dehydrated, it often sends out signals that are misread as hunger pangs. Mild dehydration actually slows down body metabolism, so you're losing out on two counts if you let your water intake slip.
A little dehydration can leave you feeling tired as well as messing with your short-term memory. Start to feel a bit parched, and simple mental tasks could seem like a massive challenge.

Laugh Your Way to Relaxation
There is no doubt that laughter is a wonderful thing! Research has shown that laughter is good for our immune system and pain management. The best thing about it is that it is free!
Laughter reduces the level of stress hormones such as cortisol and adrenaline. It also increases hormones such as endorphins as well as increases the number of antibody-producing cells. This builds our immune system and helps us manage stress. Laughter is enjoyable and helps us see the funny side of life, keeps us young and positive.
Laughter also gives the diaphragm, stomach a good work out. A good giggle can even give the heart a workout.
Laughter is a great emotional release and can be a great distraction from anger or stress.
Go on make yourself
"feel good"
have a good laugh!

Quote of the day
.................why not treat yourself or friends!"Spend your first 15 seconds awake planning something nice to do for yourself today. This can really set you up in a good mood - even if it's just going by the farmers' market and getting fresh strawberries."

The Bowen Technique
A simple and powerful technique that helps relieve all kinds of pain. It is so gentle it can be used on anyone, from newborn babies to the elderly.
The use of thumbs and fingers gently move muscles and tissue with a ‘rolling’ type move. In between each set of moves there is a break. The process releases energy and sends impulses to the brain so the body can start to heal itself.
Bowen helps re-align the body. Treatment at regular intervals can help stress management and health maintenance.
